Comprehensive Evaluations
Our trained therapists perform evaluations which include the following:
- Subjective history to determine history of the problem.
- Objective examination to determine the integrity of joint structure and muscle.
- Objective measurements such as manual muscle tests, neurological assessments and isokinetic tests to determine progress.
Treatment Plans
Individual, specialized Treatment Plans are developed for all patients depending
On the injury or dysfunction. Treatment plans consists of:
- Patient Education
- Manual Therapy
- Customized therapeutic exercise for specific musculoskeletal dysfunction
- Modalities may include electric stimulation, ultrasound, ice / heat, fluidotherapy, whirlpool, phonophoresis, iontophoresis, etc.
- Individual home exercise programs and treatment techniques
Documentation
Communication with referral sources is of the utmost importance. Referral sources receive a detailed, written evaluation of their patient.
If the patient is not progressing or is showing signs of regression, referral sources are notified to determine if further testing, change in treatment plan, or discharge is necessary. These immediate actions save both the patient and insurance company unnecessary expenses.
